Data engineer with his own homelab

I work as a data warehouse developer at Witron Logistik + Informatik GmbH, where I've been building enterprise DWH solutions for international customers since 2021: ETL pipelines (stage/core/mart), distributed monitoring platforms with React, C# and Blazor, and backend services for data processing, error detection and automated recovery — using Python, C#, Oracle and Kafka.

Alongside my job, I'm studying Applied Artificial Intelligence (B.Sc.) at IU International University. My clear goal: working as an AI engineer, taking AI systems from idea to production — LLM integration, RAG systems, model deployment and MLOps. I'm already taking the first steps: anomaly detection with ML.NET, local LLMs with Ollama in my own applications, and four years of ops experience running distributed production systems.

What sets me apart: I run my own software in production. My homelab with a k3s Kubernetes cluster, a self-hosted mail server, GitLab and monitoring is my playground for real operations — deployment, TLS, DNS, backups and everything that can break in between.
